When you create a holographic Decoy of yourself in battle, roll Sharp. On a 10, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time you may spend your hold 1 for 1 to completely negate all harm inflicted by an enemy attack as they attack your decoy instead. Area attacks might not be negated by this move as the GM and the fiction dictate.

Class -Networker
When you collect gossip about someone important (your call), roll Hot. On a hit, you can ask the GM questions. On a 10, ask 3. On a 7-9, ask 1:

How are they doing? What’s up with them?
What or who do they love best?
Who do they know, like and/or trust?
When next should I expect to see them?
How could I get to them, physically or emotionally?

Species – Ambition: Leave No One Behind
When you aid another in battle, don’t roll +Hx. You help them as though you’d hit the roll with a 10+. If you’ve advanced this move, feel free to roll anyway, but ignore any result that’s less than 10+. This move does not apply if you are instead interfering in battle.

Class (Diplomat) – The Eyes Betray the Heart
When you are alone with someone and get a hit on read a person you may add the following to the list of available questions:

What secret would you never tell anyone but me

Personal – Artful & Gracious
When you perform your chosen art – any act of expression or culture – or when you put its product before an audience, roll +Hot. On a 10+, spend 3. On a 7-9, spend 1. Spend 1 to name an NPC member of your audience and choose one:

This person must meet me
This person must have my services
This person loves me
This person must give me a gift
This person admires my patron
On a miss, you gain no benefit. You simply perform very well.

Personal – Wealth
You have developed extensive investments and agents whose job it is to keep you in credits. At the beginning of the session, roll the appropriate stat (see below) to see how your fortune is faring. On a 10+, you have surplus on hand for your needs. On a 7-9, you have surplus, but choose one want. On a miss, your investments are in want. The GM will choose one or more. The precise values of your surplus and want are determined by creating your investments below.

You’ve invested in the underworld, or in networks that value face-time. Roll +Hot at the beginning of the session, surplus: 1-Resources, want: shady

Your investments are compact and well administered. Remove one want.

You’ve invested in the information trade. Surplus: gain the insight peripheral move, want: infiltrated

Your investments are in large companies with multiple masters. Want: obligation

For advancement, you may cross off any unused advance to instead choose 2 new benefits, or take 1 new benefit and remove 1 weakness.

Special – Heartbreak Network
You have a network of people who are in love with you. At the beginning of the session roll +Hot. On a 10+, hold 3. On a 7-9, hold 2. You may spend your hold during the session, 1 for 1 to have an NPC lover:

  • Commit a crime for you
  • Take the fall for you
  • Betray a confidence for you
  • Betray an employer for you
  • Fight to save you
  • Fight to keep you

On a miss, some of them are jealous. You need to act to keep them placated or assuaged.

Arresting Grace
When you remove a piece of clothing – your own, or someone else’s – nobody who can see you can do anything but watch. You command their absolute attention. You may exempt specific people, by name, if you choose.

Will to Power:
You are exactly the sort of human that gives your species their current galactic reputation. At the beginning of the session, roll Will. On a 10, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. At any time that session, spend your hold 1 for 1 to get an automatic 10+ on go aggro, or seize by force.


Biotic Weapon (3-harm close implanted lift). Upon a hit with this weapon, choose 1:
- Hit a guy with another guy (do damage to a second target)
- Hit stuff with the guy (add 2-shock, damage property)
- Scare the guy’s friends (impress, dismay, or frighten your target’s allies)


Claire was a street rat of the Citadel. Sneaking your way onto a drug smuggling ship didn’t exactly get you connections. When she was sixteen, she met a nice turian in Purgatory and decided he was refreshingly non human. So they got smashed and had sex. It turned out, he liked to talk about the stress of work to pretty ladies. It turned out he also left money on the table in the morning. For the first time in years, Claire had a full belly the next morning, and felt relaxed. She also knew which ships in the area were using experimental stealth technology.

There were others who paid for that information. There were others still who paid for her, and presented new information.

She spent a year as a clumsy information broker until she found herself barking up the wrong Asari.

Artemesia thought she was adorable. She also thought she’d never seen a worse liar, and for once, the woman wanted to help the kid into a better life.

Better being relative, of course.

Arty taught Claire the things she knew best: secrets and lies. She learned when to bargain and when to abstain, when sex was useful and dangerous. How to be a pirate. And, most importantly: how to use her skills to protect people, because the galaxy was far too broken already.

It was soon after Artemesia left that she met Tyler Maddox. She was dancing, and he was cute, for a human. They bonded over terrible jokes and better whiskey and a lap dance or two, and eventually shook out to be friends. He always said her smell reminded him of his modeling days, a limited edition perfume from a designer she could never remember that was supposed to symbolize something or other.

Nova Noir.

Years later, after Tyler had left and returned, and rumors of reapers came and went, Nova gained in skill as an information broker working independent of the Shadow Broker. She pulled strings and sold pirates out to the Alliance, crashing slaver rings and drug runners. When Omega was overrun and Aria declared herself the Pirate Queen of That Couch, she sold to her, too. When the time came to pick up arms and take Omega back from Cerberus, Tyler had no idea why a girl who had no clue how to fight was so enthusiastic about coming. He, of course, tried to stop her, soft fleshy stripper that she was. But Nova apparently had a bargaining chip Aria couldn’t resist, so he just sighed and bemoaned only knowing complicated women.

She stayed on Omega, dancing and spying for Aria. There were always Cerberus operatives to find, always thinking they were sneakier and smarter than they were.

When the Reapers fell and the relays went out, Aria’s power was on the perilous edge. She needed help, and resources. She needed to spread beyond Omega.

Nova was sent to a nearby refueling station as an investor. They needed money, Aria needed eyes. Nova needed her night life and to help people. Now partners with Siala, she runs the entertainment and information network on the station.
